Their defense was the biggest problem on Saturday. Darian Devries teams usually have a solid defense, and I expect them to look much better here. Penn State hasn't played any decent defenses this year. Indiana is 15th in effective field goal percentage defense, and none of the teams Penn State has played so far this year are even close to that. The Nittany Lions should be able to force some turnovers on defense too. Under the total.

Hovde was an assistant for Florida last year with Todd Golden as the Gators won the title. Columbia has been a covering machine, and a well oiled machine on offense this season. Columbia launches a bunch of long range jumpers. They are shooting better than 41% from three point range. Stony Brook is one of the worst three point defenses in the country on an annual basis. Stony Brook doesn't have much scoring depth. Stony Brook also is terrible on the defensive glass, and Columbia is top ten in the nation in offensive rebounding percentage. Columbia takes care of business in this one.

In some recent games their defense has been torched by great offenses, but Rider is one of the very worst offenses in the nation. Neither offenses is good at getting to the line. I'm on the under.
