You have to go all the way back to Feb. 3 to find out when Toronto last won. During this eight-game losing streak, the Maple Leafs are averaging 1.8 goals, while surrendering an average of 4.3 goals. Toronto team captain and supposed star Auston Matthews has not scored a goal in 12 straight games. Anaheim, by contrast, is having a banner season and is hot. The Ducks are leading the Pacific Division. They are 8-2 in their last 10 games. The Ducks have scored four or more goals in seven of their last 10 games. They just defeated Winnipeg, 4-1, on the road two days ago. The oddsmaker is putting way too much stock in Toronto being at home. The Maple Leafs have dropped eight consecutive home games. LeBron James is dealing with a sore hip and foot. James may will himself to play today because the Bulls and their 25th-ranked defense are in town for the Lakers. This is the team's second meeting this season. The Lakers won, 129-118, at Chicago on Jan. 26. Luka Doncic scored 46 points, his second-most in a game this season, in that victory. That total went Over and this one should, too. The Lakers are the most accurate shooting team in the NBA at 49.8 percent from the floor. They have reached at least 120 points in four of their last seven games, playing stronger defensive teams than Chicago. LA might not have its full defensive intensity as this is a flat spot. The Lakers are off consecutive home victories against the Timberwolves and Knicks. They host the Nuggets following this game. Marcus Smart is doubtful for Los Angeles. That is a plus for the Under as Smart is a much better defensive guard than scorer. The Bulls are off a, 130-124, road overtime victory against the Warriors this past Tuesday. Matas Buzelis scored a career-high 41 points, while Josh Giddey added 21 points and 17 assists for Chicago.

Even though Louisville nipped Miami, 92-89, during the team's final regular season game this past Saturday. I believe Miami is the superior team and will prove it today. The Cardinals snuck past Miami by making 60% of their shots from the floor and shooting 50% from three point range. I don't see Louisville being that hot again. The Hurricanes have the better defense and are the superior shooting team ranking 10th in the nation in field goal percentage at 50.6. Miami is 7-2 in its last nine games and has covered six of its past eight games. Power forward Malik Reneau is a matchup nightmare for Louisville, which has struggled with its interior defense. The Hurricanes have a rest advantage, too. They last played five days ago while the Cardinals had a tough, 62-58, victory against SMU on Wednesday.
